Bizgres 0.9 is now available from the Bizgres web site

Bizgres 0.9 is now available on the Bizgres web site.

The new source package includes the following improvements:

  • Merged with PostgreSQL 8.1.3 source code for full v8.1 compatibility (Chuck McDevitt)
  • Bitmap-on-disk indexes, reducing index size for some large tables up to 95% (Jie Zhang, Mark Kirkwood)
  • Faster external sorts, speeding up queries on large data sets by up to 100% (Simon Riggs, Ayush Parashar, Tom Lane)
  • Numerous improvements and bug fixes to KETL engine (Nick Wakefield)
